The River Derwent meanders through Calver Village and one of my favourite places for a short walk when I am in near here is by the A625 where if there is space I can park up and do a short walk that runs along the River Derwent. Walking to Froggat Bridge and back down the other side. A lovely spot and there is also the Shuttle House which is a lovely building sat next to the river and pretty much always delivers great reflections on the water.
